2022 SECONDARY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Below are details for this years Bradford Secondary Schools XC Championship. Ideally entries should be submitted through school, but if after checking with school there is no school entry, individuals may submit an entry direct.
The Association will hold Cross Country Championships for Boys and Girls attending schools in the Metropolitan District of Bradford on Wednesday 12 January 2022 at Northcliffe Playing Fields, Bradford Road, Shipley. The team to represent Bradford in the West Yorkshire Schools Championships, at The Grammar School at Leeds, on Saturday February 5 will be selected on the results of this meeting. We are allowed to send TWELVE competitors to run in each race.
There will be separate races for Year 7 Boys and Girls, and once again this age-group will be involved in the West Yorkshire Championships, since there will be a separate National Championship at a later date.
AGE GROUPS
Senior: 17 but under 19 as at midnight Aug.31 / Sept.1 2022 (Years 12 + 13)
Inters: 15 but under 17 as at midnight Aug.31 / Sept.1 2022 (Years 10 + 11)
Juniors: 13 but under 15 as at midnight Aug.31 / Sept.1 2022 (Years 8 + 9)
The COURSE is a lap one, and is suitable for spikes. Approximate distances are:

TIMES OF RACES The first race (Senior Girls and Intermediate Girls) will start at 1.00 p.m.
The approximate time-table of the starts of the races is:
Senior Girls + Inter Girls 1.00 p.m. Senior Boys 1.10 p.m.
Junior Boys (+ Yr 7) 1.40 p.m Junior Girls (+ Yr 7) 2.00 p.m.
Inter Boys 2.30 p.m.
If possible, the programme will run ahead of these times.
TEAMS There is no limit on the numbers that may be entered in each race. In ALL races there will be 4 to count in the team race.
ENTRY FEE £2.00 per athlete.
CLOSING DATE Entries must reach Tony Kingham NO LATER THAN MONDAY JANUARY 10.
